Project Overview

The Dawson West Project area is located 20km to the west of the town of Theodore, 80km south-east of Rolleston in south eastern Queensland. The Project is situated over the Surat and Bowen Basin.

CMR has successfully completed 46 boreholes with a total of 10,340m drilled.

CMR Coal & LDO introduces the Dawson West Thermal Coal brands

The Dawson West Thermal Coal offers a high calorific value* coal at a Newcastle Premium Thermal Product quality ash value.

Two separate products for the “J” & “M” Seams will be produced (low fluorine and standard brands respectively), with high ash fusion temperatures and low levels of ash chemistry elemental oxides minimising operational difficulties such as slagging and fouling.

The coal is easy to grind (high HGI**) offering minimal energy input requirements for pulverisation in firing.

Further; low total sulphur and trace element outcomes will provide a product that assists in meeting emissions regulations for coal combustion products.

The Dawson West Thermal products will offer a cost effective and efficient option for power generation that will fit well with your fuel source requirements.
